This sponge rubber seal is 10mm wide by 5mm high. It resembles the shape of a crown, containing numerous fins that aid compression and help create a reliable watertight seal. It can be used on caravans and motorhomes to seal doors, lockers, hatches and any other enclosure that requires a compressible sponge profile.
This section comes with an adhesive scrim tape backing which can be easily stuck to most surfaces commonly found on caravans and motorhomes. This includes wood, plastic, metal, glass and acrylic. The scrim tape is water resistant but is not recommended for applications that may experience constant immersion to water.
We manufacture this sponge section from high-quality sponge rubber that combines flexibility with durability. The sponge structure allows it to compress and conform to various shapes and surfaces. This makes it ideal for sealing gaps and providing insulation against noise, heat and cold. Although this section is made from sponge rubber, the closed-cell structure of the material ensures that the seal does not absorb water.
We recommend that you compress any sponge rubber seal by approximately a third. This is sufficient to create a reliable watertight seal and will not damage the rubbers structural integrity. For example, if the sponge section is 10mm thick, we recommend compressing the material by approximately 3mm to 4mm. Over compression can result in compression set which is where the sponge rubber does not recover to its original shape or size when the compression has been removed

All orders for addresses in the UK mainland will be dispatched by either Royal Mail or a next working day courier (such as DHL Parcel or DPD). This shipping method is based on the weight and value of the goods within the parcel. These carriage charges will be calculated automatically at checkout based on these factors.
Orders for international addresses will be dispatched by Royal Mail or an international courier (such as TNT or FedEx). This will vary depending on the weight of the parcel. These carriage charges will be automatically calculated at checked based on your delivery address and the products in your basket.
We strive to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. However, we understand that sometimes a product may not be what you expected. In such cases, you are able to return your item for a refund. As the vast majority of our products are customised to your length requirement at the time of order, there will be a 20% restock charge applied to any returned items. This is to cover the costs associated with processing the refund and storing the returned item until someone purchases an identical length. We are also unable to refund the outgoing shipping charge, and you are responsible for the shipping costs associated with getting the product back to us.
In the rare event that the product you have ordered is out of stock, we will notify you as soon as practically possible that there will be a delay receiving your goods.
The majority of our products are cut to order and can be purchased in a continuous length suitable for your requirements. However, some products are sold in set lengths or quantities. For example, if you enter 7 into the quantity box, you will receive a continuous 7 metre length. This length will be supplied as a continuous piece up to the maximum length of the coil. This is usually between 20 and 50 metres depending on the particular product.
These items are supplied by the linear metre. This unit of measure is applicable for products such as rubber sheet that are a set width. Please enter the length that you require into the quantity box. For example, if you enter 3 into the quantity box, you will receive a continuous 3 linear metre length. This length will be supplied as a continuous piece up to the maximum length of the roll. This is usually up to 10 metres.
