Sliding Window Seals

Although modern caravans and motorhome are fitted with doubled glazed opening windows, older recreational vehicles often have sliding windows that comprise of a single-glazed glass pane inserted into an aluminium frame. The effectiveness and longevity of these windows largely depend on the quality of their seals. Replacing your existing profiles when they begin to perish is essential for ensuring smooth operation and providing an airtight and watertight barrier between the outside and your comfortable living areas.

These windows commonly use flocked lined window rubbers that push into a frame fixed onto the exterior of the van. This rubber is coated with a velvet-like material that allows the glass to slide in the channel without friction or dragging. Sliding windows can occasionally also be fitted with a secondary rubber seal that seals the gap between the two sliding window panes. This section is usually inserted into a groove in a vertical bar and flexes with the opening and closing of each window.

We manufacture these profiles from high-grade rubber compounds that are renowned for their durability and resilience. These materials are chosen to withstand the wear and tear of regular use, as well as exposure to various weather conditions and environmental factors. We offer a variety of profiles and sizes to ensure a perfect fit for different models and makes of caravans and motorhomes.
